Dare to Discover
Our world can be understood in both physical and human terms. To make sense of our relationship with this remarkable planet we must increasingly look at these two dimensions together. We therefore aim to link Geography as much as possible to real lives and to understand the consequences and vulnerability of human activity. We do this through practical, thematic activities making links with other subjects, notably science, mathematics, history, English and PSHE. Our activities help students to understand the world they live in and the forces that shape it. We develop children’s knowledge and skills in local and global geography, human and physical geography, sustainability, map and compass skills, and investigation and fieldwork techniques. The learning follows a logical progression leading to the development of sophisticated concepts.
