Modern Foreign Languages
Children love to express themselves in new ways. We help our learners to develop a love of languages and other cultures. We prepare them to live and work in an increasingly interconnected world. We believe that learning languages is crucial for future success and fulfilment in personal and professional life. We are especially keen to build children’s confidence as they acquire the language skills that will improve their future. We also believe that learning new languages helps develop open-minded and curious learners who are able to consider issues from different perspectives. Learning a new language helps to accelerate the child’s wider cognitive development. We teach Spanish in KS1 and French in KS2. We use the online learning platform 'Language Angels'. We also have a specialist French Teacher who teaches additional French to interested children.
