JS Sports Summer Activity Camps

JS Sports will be running more of their popular summer activity camps this year at a number of venues, Fulbourn included.  This year, for the first time, they are offering sibling discounts, which parents can access by contacting them.  The camps will start with a disco party, and conclude on a high with inflatable fun!  More information can be found here.

Summer Reading Challenge

Fulbourn Library will be running the Summer Reading Challenge again this summer.

To take part children need to sign up at Fulbourn Library from Saturday 15^th July 2023.  The challenge then is to read six books during the summer holidays and come to the library to register those books with the Reading Challenge team. The team is made up of library volunteers and young people, most of whom have been participants in the challenge during their primary school years. We encourage the children to talk about the books they have read. Children who successfully complete the challenge will receive a certificate and a medal, presented either at school or in the library. The last day of the challenge is Saturday 8^th September 2023.

This year we are limited to the number of participants we can allow due to restricted supply of Reading Challenge materials from the County Library Service. So, it will be on first come basis for up to 92 children between the ages of 3-11.

Stage & Screen: Hooks Revenge – A Neverland Story (KS2)
Ahoy there! Come and join us on a swashbuckling adventure through crocodile infested waters for ‘Stage & Screen: Hook’s Revenge – A Neverland Story’. Our KS2 workshop performing arts workshops are back for the summer and we are delighted to be offering a two day workshop for students in years 4-6 on 29th and 30th August.

Come and join us for a day of magic with our Alice in Wonderland workshop! Our highly popular Stage & Screen performing arts workshops are back for the summer and we are delighted to be offering a workshop for students in years 7-9 on 31st August 2023.

Castle Coaching Summer Tours

We are Castle Coaching, a company that provides high quality rugby and football coaching at affordable prices. We are running a tour over summer which consists of high quality training pop-up days in Framlingham, Leiston, Ipswich, Baldock, Stevenage and Cambridge, before we expand to some of these locations permanently from September.

All of our coaches have an Enhanced DBS check and all of our head coaches are first aid trained and have a qualification in their specialist sport. eg. Football head coaches are FA Qualified.

Our tour is suitable for boys and girls aged 5-11 (we accept 4 year olds turning 5), and both children that have never done the sport and wish to try something new and also children who already train and wish to come and see what Castle Coaching is all about!
