Temporary Midday Supervisor

Midday Supervisor (Temporary Maternity Leave Cover)

We are looking to appoint a kind, positive and energetic Midday Supervisor to join our friendly lunchtime team to provide temporary maternity leave cover from September 2023.   Midday Supervisors are valuable members of our staff team, helping to support children in the dining hall and in their lunchtime play.  The post is ideal for someone who is interested in embarking on a career working with children.  No previous experience is necessary.

 

Duties include:

  • Supervising and supporting children in the dining hall
  • Supervising and leading positive play activities for children outdoors, or indoors in the case of wet play
  • Ensuring the safety, welfare and behaviour of children at lunchtimes
  • Communicating with children and supporting them in they are upset or worried
  • Setting up and clearing away tables/chairs in the dining hall

 

We are looking for someone who

  • Is caring, helpful, flexible, energetic and understanding
  • Works well within a team
  • Has positive ideas for lunchtime games and activities
  • Holds a first aid certificate, or is willing to attend first aid training

Hours of work

  • 11.45 a.m. – 1.00 p.m. Monday to Friday, school term time (6.25 hours per week)
  • Part time applications will be considered

 

Salary

  • NJC Scale Points 2-3 (£20,441 - £20,812 pro rata) pay award pending
  • Actual salary £2,877.71 - £1,929.39 p.a.
